Founded in 2021 as a joint venture between Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and Amperex Technology Limited (ATL), with CATL holding the majority interest through an intermediate holding company, Ampace is headquartered in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. It maintains large-scale manufacturing facilities in the city with planned capacities exceeding 30 GWh annually and focuses on the full value chain from cell production to system integration.
The company’s primary activities center on energy storage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial, and data center applications, alongside batteries for micro e-mobility (e-bikes, e-motorcycles, e-tricycles), power tools, drones, robotics, vacuum cleaners, and other smart devices.
