AKT Oil Services Company is a privately held, 100% locally owned Iraqi engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) contractor focused on the oil and gas industry.
Headquartered in Basrah, Iraq, and incorporated in 2005, the company provides end-to-end services from planning and design through procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, startup, and maintenance. Its core activities include gas processing and compression facilities, crude oil processing plants, pipelines (above and below ground), hot tapping and stopple operations, storage tanks, piping systems, and civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
AKT operates exclusively in Iraq, executing projects for major operators including Basrah Gas Company (BGC), Shell, BP, TotalEnergies, and others across southern oil fields such as West Qurna, Rumaila, and Zubair. It maintains fabrication workshops in South Rumaila and Um Qasr and employs up to 500 personnel during peak periods.
With strategic international partnerships for advanced technologies and a portfolio of more than 68 completed projects, AKT has established itself as a leading indigenous EPCC provider capable of delivering complex brownfield and gas capture infrastructure comparable to global service companies.
