American Industrial Partners (AIP) is an operationally-oriented middle-market private equity firm headquartered in New York City. Founded in 1988, AIP specializes in control investments in established industrial businesses, primarily in the United States and Canada, targeting companies with annual sales exceeding $500 million.
The firm focuses on sectors such as aerospace and defense, automotive, building products, capital goods, chemicals, industrial services, industrial technology, logistics, metals & mining, and transportation.
