The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit health organization focused on preventing and curing diabetes and improving the lives of people affected by the disease. It supports patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers with evidence-based guidance and resources.
The ADA funds and coordinates diabetes research; publishes peer-reviewed journals, including Diabetes and Diabetes Care; develops and updates the Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes; provides professional education and patient information; hosts scientific conferences; and advocates for policies that improve access to quality care. It collaborates with medical societies, academic institutions, and public agencies to advance science, clinical practice, and public health related to diabetes.
