The XVI Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY took place on October 2-3, 2025, in Astana, Kazakhstan, as part of Kazakhstan Energy Week 2025. Organized by the KAZENERGY Association, it coincided with the association's 20th anniversary.
The theme was 'The New Energy Order: Focus on Middle Powers'. Discussions covered global energy security, advanced technologies, international cooperation, energy transition challenges, hydrocarbons, renewables, nuclear power, digitalization, investments, and petrochemicals.
Over 300 participants from 50 countries attended, including government officials, industry leaders, and experts. Key events included opening sessions, plenary discussions, roundtables (e.g., with IRENA on renewables in Central Asia), strategic sessions on nuclear power, and presentations like OPEC's World Oil Outlook 2025. A gala dinner marked the anniversary.
Tengizchevroil served as the general sponsor, highlighting its operations and technologies. A message from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was read by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, emphasizing energy security and investments.
