Hacemos Futuro

Date: 17 March 2026
Location: Madrid, Spain

The 'Hacemos Futuro' meeting was a one-day event organized by Moeve and Ethic magazine at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. It brought together institutional representatives, companies, social organizations, and key players in rural development to discuss public-private collaboration as a driver of rural progress, with a strong emphasis on dialogue for renewable energy projects.

A detailed snapshot of rural Spain was presented, highlighting population growth in small municipalities, a 4.9% increase in rural employment (2021–2023), and persistent barriers such as institutional lack of coordination. The panels addressed the energy transition, European policies, innovation, rural entrepreneurship, social cohesion, and the role of companies in investment and a just energy transition.

During the event, Moeve launched its 'Hacemos Futuro' programme — a social licence strategy for territorial development through local collaboration — and introduced the 'Caminos de Futuro' initiative to promote rural tourism routes in locations such as Calamocha (Teruel), Cumbres Mayores (Huelva), Anaga (Tenerife), Navas de Oro (Segovia), and Valle de Arán (Lleida). The event was closed by Minister Luis Planas.
