Flame is a European gas and LNG conference. A panel discussion at the event addressed implementation of the EU Methane Regulation for energy importers, including compliance mechanisms, verification, and incentives for upstream methane performance improvements. Representatives from government, regulatory bodies, climate policy, and methane certification participated. The Regulation entered into force in 2024.
