The Western China International Investment and Trade Fair is a national-level platform for investment promotion, trade cooperation, industrial synergy, and consumption promotion in western China. The 8th edition was held from May 21 to 24, 2026, at the Chongqing International Expo Center and Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. It was hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government under the theme "New West, New Manufacturing, New Services." The event featured four major exhibition zones and attracted nearly 1,400 enterprises and institutions from 50 countries and regions. The United Kingdom served as the guest of honor country, Sichuan Province as the permanent guest province, and Gyeonggi-do (South Korea) as the guest city. It supports the development of a modern industrial system and enhanced openness in western China.
