China Development Forum: 2026

The China Development Forum (CDF) is an annual high-level international forum organized by the Development Research Center of the State Council. The 2026 edition was held March 22-23 in Beijing.

At the opening ceremony on March 22, Premier Li Qiang delivered a keynote speech addressing global economic challenges, advocating for open markets, healthy competition, and China's commitment to high-quality development and global stability. The forum included 13 symposiums on topics such as macro policies and high-quality development under China's 15th Five-Year Plan.

Approximately 750 participants attended, including Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank; Zou Jiayi, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank; and representatives from domestic and international business sectors.

The theme was "China in Its 15th Five-Year Plan Period: Advancing High-Quality Development and Creating New Opportunities."
