The Portugal Energy Conference 2025 was held on 11 December 2025 at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. Organized by the World Energy Council Portugal in partnership with APE – Portuguese Energy Association, the event focused on the theme 'Energy: Competitiveness in Reindustrialisation'.
It brought together leaders from public and private sectors to discuss energy competitiveness and its impact on the reindustrialisation of Portugal and Europe. The program included four sessions covering dynamics of established industry, development of new sectors linked to the energy transition, and support policies.
Key participants included the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, in the opening session, and the Minister for Environment and Energy, Maria da Graça Carvalho, in the closing session. Other notable figures were CEOs from EDP, REN, Galp, and representatives from various energy companies and associations.
During the conference, APE presented the White Paper 'Energy Competitiveness as a Driver of Industrialisation', analyzing challenges, opportunities, and strategies for Portugal’s green reindustrialisation.
