Kemira Oyj has successfully increased production in its new coagulant plant in Dormagen, Germany. The plant can produce Kemira's aluminum-based coagulants used for water treatment. The plant is built on Bayer MaterialScience's site, ensuring a sustainable supply of raw materials. The plant is the largest producer of polyaluminumchloride (PAX) in the world and helps Kemira maintain its leadership position in the water treatment market. The plant also helps consolidate Kemira's manufacturing footprint in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Kemira Oyj has successfully ramped up production in its new coagulant plant located in Dormagen, Germany. The plant is able to produce the entire range of Kemira's aluminum-based coagulants that are used for drinking water and waste water treatment.
Kemira's plant is built on Bayer MaterialScience's site securing sustainable access to raw material in a long term partnership. Kemira utilizes in the coagulant production hydrochloric acid that is a by-product derived from Bayer MaterialScience's production of toluene diisocyanate (TDI).
