Repsol YPF is investing over 600 million euros to double production at its Petrochemical complex in Portugal. This includes building three new plants and increasing cracker capacity by more than 40%. The complex will have a production capacity of one million tonnes of olefins and another million tonnes of polyolefins. The project will create over 1,500 jobs during the construction phase. Repsol YPF aims to enhance the added value of Sines by using all current production as feedstock for the new polyolefin plants.
