Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a contract by Nippon Shokubai Europe for engineering, procurement and construction management services for the expansion of a polymer plant and the construction of a new acrylic acid plant in Belgium. The total investment cost for the project is estimated to be $390m and is expected to be completed by October 2017. Jacobs is a global provider of technical professional and construction services.
PASADENA, Calif. - Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that it received a contract from Nippon Shokubai Europe N.V. for detailed engineering, procurement and construction management services for the expansion of the Superabsorbent Polymer Plant and a new acrylic acid plant at the Nippon Shokubai Europe site in Zwijndrecht (Antwerp), Belgium.
The total investment cost (TIC) of the installation is approximately $390 million (350 million Euros). The project is scheduled to be mechanically complete in October 2017.
